The Glade at sketch
The Glade offers breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea by day, before transforming into a refined cocktail bar in the evening. The Glade, designed by Mourad Mazouz in collaboration with artists Carolyn Quartermaine and Didier Mahieu, was elegantly decorated to enhance the room's forest-themed decor. Alexandra Kehayoglou created a hand-woven carpet in a natural color palette to mimic the forest floor's texture. Every piece of furniture is unique and hand-crafted by Quartermaine’s team of artisans.

Great spot to grab a little breakfast before a long day in the city!
We had the smoked salmon & poached egg with guacamole and egg mousse and the smash avocado on toast with asparagus. And for a bit of sweet we had a croissant cookie and pistachio pain au chocolate. Everything tasted great and really fun twists on traditional french pastries. The room itself is like an enchanted forest. So green with a canopy of leaves. Feels like a speakeasy bar! Definitely coming back to try out the evening cocktails here!

I once described the glade as a place “where memories are made, and dreams come true” and it continues to be one of my must visit restaurants in London. I just love everything about it. The food is exquisite, and the atmosphere is magical. Step inside behind the privacy curtains and an incredibly special, truly delightful experience awaits.
While I love all of what Sketch has to offer, The Glade is definitely my favourite. The service is exactly as you would expect from the Sketch experience, up there with the very best.
I’ve just returned from a stay at the Leela Palace so you could say that I’m fussy.
